An illustrated story studio
VisualSketches is the illustration and storytelling studio of artist Rajat Pandit. Its flagship is চঞ্চলের কাণ্ডকারখানা (Chanchaler Kandokarkhana), a hand-drawn Bengali comedy series.
The show
Chanchal is an over-eager Kolkata office clerk who will do anything for the boss except his own work. Around him are Taapasda, the unhurried elder; Chakraborty Saheb, the MD; and a growing cast of colleagues, relatives and strangers met on festival nights. Episodes are written in Bengali, drawn in watercolour and pencil, and published on YouTube.
How we work
Every episode starts in a story room: research, premises, beats, then a storyboard and a voice preview before any finished art is made. Characters are locked to approved model sheets so they look the same in every frame. Brand stories follow the same method, with your review at script and storyboard stage.
